Brian Saylor

Experience:
Brian has over thirty years of global manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement experience across a range of industries as well as ten years of experience advising on KAIZEN Lean. Since 1997, Brian has been Senior Consultant, KAIZEN® Institute USA where he has implemented KAIZEN Lean KMS strategy in major global company value streams, conducted KAIZEN workshops in TFM, TPM, TSM, taught KAIZEN methods.
From 1994 to 1997, Brian was Vice President Operations at Holley Automotive where he implemented Lean and KAIZEN activities in plants and at the corporate level.
Prior to Holley, from 1982 through 1994 Brian was Vice President of Quality in the Diesel Engine and Electronics industry where he implemented ISO 9001 at the first self-certified internationally approved electronics facility in North Carolina.
From 1976 through 1982, Brian was Manager of Quality and Engineering at Rockwell International brake divisions where he investigated and resolved critical customer satisfaction issues, established preventive approach to quality and process engineering, and established a supplier quality program for international vendors.
For the ten years leading up to Rockwell, Brian held management and engineering positions at General Motors in their manufacturing plants where he implemented statistical process control and problem solving techniques in production areas, trained and supervised quality and production personnel in quality and productivity techniques, and wrote the forerunner of ISO quality procedures for the Chevrolet Motor Division.
Education
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a SME bronze level Lean certification instructor, and is an Adjunct Professor in the Macomb College Technical Education Department.
