Dominic Brassard

Mechanical engineer, graduated from the Royal Military College, Kingston Ont. in 1990, Dominic completed a MBA at Laval University in 2005.
After his compulsory service in the Canadian Armed Forces, Dominic began his civil carreer for the truck manufacturer Kenworth at the Ste-Thérèse plant, as production supervisor. He then moved to Québec and accepted a job as a production supervisor and then middle manager for the highway coach manufacturer Prevost Car. In 2002, Dominic moved to St-Georges, Beauce for the sawmill equipment manufacturer Comact as plant manager.
With more than 17 years of experience in production management, Dominic has worked in mass production systems as well as in job shops with custom products. He had the tremendous opportunity to learn from a Japaneese master, the approach of the Toyota Production System (TPS) during six years. Dominic has realised many lean projects in various processes such as machining, welding, assembly, painting, logistic, engineering and administration, for companies such as Comact, Manac, Rotobec, Solisco, Metal Bernard and many others.
A fine communicator, in English and French, Dominic leads his kaizen workshops in a dynamic and interactive way, using many real world examples. He uses his on job experiences in order to get results in straight line with the customer’s strategy.
