Joe has provided Lean Six Sigma training and consulting services to clients ranging from global giants to small to mid-size enterprises (SME's). The list of clients includes: Canon, Dupont, Molex, TCL, Huawei, Foxconn, Liteon, Broad, Midea, Founder, Wuliangye, Kingfa, Cyberway, Gztelcom, Samtian Chem, etc. He also was invited to hold public seminars in the Asia Pacific-wide region, including Malaysia. Joe is also ASQ certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Joe joined Lean Advisors Inc. in 2004. Previously he worked as a senior Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at General Electric (GE). Joe trained more than 200 Green Belts and coached 31 Green Belt projects. He led the e-Auction team for GE Plastics, Asia Pacific Region, successfully achieving targets of more than $5 million in direct bottom line savings. He also led sourcing and e-schedule teams in Nansha, Guangdong in significant productivity improvement projects.

While with GE, Joe acquired solid cross-functional experience in Production, Sourcing, SCM, e-Auction, Sales and Marketing and Lean Six Sigma. He is a graduate of the GE Technical Leadership Program (TLP) and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt through the GE Corporate Certification program.

Joe also led the South and West China Commercial and Marketing Teams in driving ACFC (At-the-Customer, For-the-Customer) projects, which brought Lean Six Sigma disciplines to key customers, helping them to increase productivity, reduce cycle time, and make their business processes flow more efficiently. With each of the ACFC projects, he coached and mentored team members to acquire the right knowledge at the right time and in the right way. Through his efforts, GE added more than $10 million US in new sales (Asia Pacific), and helped key customers save more than $15 million US. Joe won both the coveted 'GE Plastics Pacific ACFC Eagle Award' and the prestigious 'GE Plastics Global CEO Award' for his outstanding application of Lean Six Sigma.

Joe provides training and advisory expertise in:

• Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, DFSS) and implementation: QFD, FMEA, ANOVA, SPC, Process Mapping, DOE, CAP.


• Lean principles and implementation: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, TPM, Kanban, Poka-yoke, Visual control, Jidoka, 5S and Heijunka.

Joe holds a Masters Degree in Science from Sun Yat-sen University and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
