Shelly has more than 25 years of process engineering and business improvement experience in health care, automotive, aerospace, computer electronics, and financial services. Her key areas of expertise include Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, and Flawless Project Delivery.
Shelly was the manager of automotive electronics plants in Canada and the US, GM of AlliedSignal's Canadian aerospace division, VP of quality and operational excellence for Celestica, and VP of CIBC’s process re-engineering team.
She takes a practical approach to process improvement. There is no single silver bullet that applies to every organization. It's important to understand an organization's unique needs and to create a plan and approach that meet those needs. She has facilitated Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, and Leadership Development workshops for cross-functional teams and executives in a variety of manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries (health care and financial services).
Shelly has led highly successful transactional process re-engineering initiatives including KAIZEN events in areas such as order entry, and human resource recruiting and training. Her track record in leading manufacturing process initiatives in areas such as inventory reduction, cell layout, cycle time improvement, and defect reduction is equally successful.
Education:
Shelly has a MBA from Pepperdine University (California). She is a certified Adult Teacher/Trainer, Six Sigma Champion, and Lean Technician.
