Miranda Valinskas - P. Eng., P. Log., CMC - Advisor

Miranda Valinskas is a driven and entrepreneurial minded supply chain professional with 20 plus years of multi-faceted experience in supply chain/logistics design and engineering, process and performance management, strategic planning, and business development. With extensive consulting, 3PL, and direct private/public industry experience, Miranda has demonstrated success in analyzing a client's dynamic business needs and translating them into cost effective, practical, and creative solutions.

Miranda has a B. Eng in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University and is a licenced Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers of Ontario. She completed the Executive Program in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Schulich School of Business in Toronto Ontario. Miranda is also a certified Professional Logistician (P.Log.) and member of the Logistics Institute as well as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and member of Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario.

  • Working directly in a senior level logistics and supply chain role within a corporate entity.
  • Serving as part of an executive leadership team contributing to overall company vision and strategy; strategic thinker, motivator and enabler
  • Working within a third party logistics (3PL) and freight forwarding organization with focus on business development strategy and supply chain solution design and execution; end to end solutions
  • Extensive experience with transformational manufacturing, warehousing/distribution projects working as a senior consultant and later as executive/principal working within major consulting engineering/architectural design–build firms; planning and executing complex networks, facilities and materials handling solutions to streamline supply chain processes and movement of goods while optimizing space, maintaining market drivers and technological advancements, reducing costs and improving service. Projects include process and systems reviews, integration and implementation with ERP, MRP, WMS, and/or TMS.
  • Assessing operations and implementing changes impacting people, process and technologies across organization – improving corporate strategic planning and performance measurement
  • Establishing strategic relationships and high client satisfaction performance, meeting expectations of key stakeholders
  • Developing requirements and monitoring supplier and third party relationships to meet contractual commitments

Canadian Red Cross – Senior Supply Chain Consultant. Completed strategic model and warehouse rationalization study (Phase 1); evaluation of existing network (s) covering three major programs – Disaster Management, Health Equipment /Loan, and First Aid, Water Safety /Swimming. The high profile project involved a review of warehouses/facilities to determine appropriate number needed in network, processes, use of automated systems for inventory management and control as well as assessment of any outsourcing options.

ATX Networks – Project Executive and senior supply chain consultant. A growing organization through recent acquisitions in California, ATX needed to optimize their current operations and have an effective supply chain organizational structure and business transformation plan in place to further gain competitive edge and increase shareholder value. Engaged to conduct a high level review of the current supply chain structure and operations to determine an optimal model that drives further success. The assessment included a high level review of the systems, the processes, the people, highlighting productivity and performance management constraints, and identifying areas for improvement as well as current strengths that can be leveraged. Provided the roadmap for ‘change’ to meet targets around organizational/operational effectiveness, and to ensure a culture of best practices and sustainability.

NSLC and Atlantic Region Liquor Boards — Project Executive and senior logistics consultant responsible for overall direction, design, quality, and timely execution of work undertaken. Completed a feasibility study to establish a consolidated regional liquor distribution center to service four Atlantic Region liquor boards’ distribution needs. Compiled and reviewed supply and demand data along with pricing models and operational considerations. Made final presentation of business model/plan to the Boards to assist with decision making.

UPS Supply Chain Solutions – Senior Client Partner role. Led strategic management of relationships for major Retail and CPG accounts that included Staples, New Balance, Globe Electric and other key national accounts for UPS Supply Chain Solutions. Managed continuous process improvement, business growth, and issue resolution while playing a key role in relocating accounts to new 1.2M square foot campus.

  • Managed, coordinated, and assisted account team in meeting client expectations, remedial actions, project implementation activities, and strategy.
  • Generated $16M in sales revenue through effective management of clients' supply chain and logistics solutions, meeting and exceeding corporate ROIC targets.
  • Analyzed client data to maximize profit, minimize costs, recommend valueadded business solutions, and determine potential areas for improvement and growth.
